Signia Pure Hearing Aid

The type of aid we fit most from Signia with the Micon processing is the “open fit” style of hearing instrument, called the Pure Micon. The open fit aid is a small device that fits behind the ear.

A small thin wire comes from the aid at the end of which is a receiver (or sometimes called a speaker). The receiver fits into the ear leaving most of the ear canal open. The sound is processed in the aid then goes to the receiver in the ear. This style of aid is good for mild to moderate losses and has a very natural sound quality.

Signia Pure hearing aids can become high-performance wireless headphones when paired with miniTek® to stream audio content from a cellphone, MP3 player, game console, and more.

The miniTek can also be used to transform Pure into a set of high performance stereo headphones, streaming audio content from phones, MP3 players, tablets, game consoles, TVs and other audio sources straight into the hearing instrument.

There are those clients who come to see us that can’t be helped with the Pure Micon because they have a severe to profound hearing loss. In those cases your Dann Hearing professional may suggest an aid called the Nitro.
