miniTek® is everything you want from a wireless solution and more. It is an automatic streamer and an intuitive remote control.
Signia hearing instruments have remote controls that can be used with the hearing aids. The one we use most often is the miniTek®. The miniTek® allows lets you connect the aids to a device, such as a cell phone or iPad that has a Bluetooth transmitter (Bluetooth is a way for different electronic devices to communicate with each other). The miniTek® has a button for connecting to the phone when you receive a call, as well as a button to change programs and adjust volume.
Universal wireless connectivity.
It syncs all your audio devices - simultaneously - with the following hearing aids:
Pure® micon | Motion® |
Nitro® BTE | Aquaris™ |
The richest listening experience at your fingertips.
miniTek delivers universal access to everything that matters, whether Android™ or iPhone®.
miniTek wirelessly connects audio devices—phones, TVs, and MP3 players and smartphone apps like Pandora Radio, Google Maps, driving instructions and FaceTime video calls—to your hearing aids. miniTek won the Best of Bluetooth® Next and Fan Favorite awards at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and along with the miniTek Remote app was an Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Honoree at the 2014 CES.
State-of-the-art.
Well-connected.
Accessories are available for miniTek to make listening even easier.
Additional transmitter.
miniTek can connect to two transmitters at once, so you can link to two separate televisions, or a TV and home theater combination, without moving the transmitter. miniTek comes pre-paired with the transmitters, so it all happens effortlessly and automatically. Unpack, plug in, and play. It's that simple.
miniTek Remote App.
The miniTek® Remote App is available in the Google Play store for Android phones such as the Samsung Galaxy and others. This app works with the miniTek® remote to let you control volume, change programs, and select an audio source to connect with the aids. So, instead of taking the miniTek® out to make the adjustments you want, you can use your smartphone. You must have the miniTek® with you to use the app since it will not work with the aids by itself.
At the moment, this app is not available for the iPhone.
VoiceLink transmitter and microphone.
VoiceLink makes it seem like the speaker is right next to you.
Additional Remote Options.
There are several other remote controls available if you want something simpler and no Bluetooth connection. The other remotes that we use are the EPen and ProPocket. The EPen looks like a long pen and lets you change programs and adjust the volume. The ProPocket is slightly larger and more square, and, like the EPen, lets you make adjustments on the aids.
